My husband and I went on a Sunday afternoon after learning the restaurant we wanted to go to closes early on a Sunday. Accidentally finding Chungkiwa was the best thing ever. The service here is excellent. They routinely checked on us if our food was good and if we need more banchan. They had 2 staff checking on the entire restaurant but were very polite and kind. No attitude whatsoever even though they were busy. The food: we ordered Doenjang Jigae , Hot Stone Bi Bim Bap and Wonton and again the food was good but the Doenjang Jigae blew our minds. We live in west Glenview and we have plenty of Korean options in our neighborhood so we do know good Korean food. I would drive here everyday just to eat that Doenjang Jigae again. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

Ive been coming here for nearly two decades and am thoroughly impressed with every visit. The best KBBQ I’ve come across, fantastic service fantastic people and the highest quality meats and ingredients. The collection of art is really cool as well!

I don't think I've ever written a review before, but I loved Chungkiwa so much that I can't help but shout it from the rooftops. The food was brilliant and plentiful. The owner/servers were kind and attentive. This is my new favorite restaurant and I will be recommending it to anyone who'll listen.

They are very clean, seating is spaced with high walls designed for privacy but is also convenient for covid. They take people's temperature and have you sign in.
No food for vegan... Sorry for that
Its worth going. The experience is really fun, cooking your own food on a suoer hot grill in the table. The price is around red lobster's range.
There is a separate room on the other side of the door that I assume is the party room, I'm sure you could ask to use that. Otherwise you'd have to use two or more tables across from each other.
Ran into this as well. Its a number of people thing, sort of. If you order enough food they let you use the cooking surfaces, but it will be far more than what 2 people can consume. That was my experience, anyway.
