One of my favorite thrift/charity shops in Houston! I’ve found so many incredible things here, from furniture and home decor to vintage clothing and jewelry. Looking around my home, I see so many items that I’ve collected from the Charity Guild Shop over the years. Given that the proceeds go toward a good cause and the quality of their wares is excellent, I think their prices are very reasonable. And the prices of each item drops as the week pass, so if you’re patient (and willing to risk it!), you can wait and get a great deal.

Nice place to know about for work clothes if you're living on a budget but they did not have anything in my size. Their prices go down based on how long the item has been in their inventory which I think is awesome because they can go all the way down to being as little as 10% of what the original price was

Charity Guild Shop and Guild Shop are two separate entities. All information for Charity Guild Shop (Houston Chronicle's Best of the Best in consignment shops and antique stores) has information about receiving items and the appropriate season for those items on its website: https://charityguildshop.org/. There is a Consignments tab which has several dropdown choices. Fur coats are in Apparel Consignment.
We do not pick up donations. Any time that you wish to make a donation during normal business hours, you may take them to customer service. Please check our website for items that we are unable to accept. Thank you very much for your interest.
The typical split is 60% for the consignor, 40% for the shop to support children's charities. If a complete estate is consigned, it's 50/50. Check out our website for all the details.
Daily deep clean. Sanitizing, plexiglas partitions. Facemasks required. I feel very safe there!
They first opened in 1952 in the 1600 block of Westheimer. By 1960 they had purchased property on Lovett Boulevard. This is from their History section on the website.
Check the website for the latest hours and days. Also check for items not being accepted.
Small house originally faced Yoakum Blvd. After major expansion it's front entrance is Lovett Blvd. These happened over 8 years ago.
Donations can be dropped off any day, Monday thru Saturday, 10 to just before closing at 3pm. There is no limit on the number of items if donationed. All profits go to children's charities in Harris County, and 92% of all labor hours at the shop are volunteers! An amazing organization! You may also consign items to be sold. Check the website, charityguildshop.org. All details are contained there, but generally speaking, consignors receive 60% of the selling price if the item sells within 60 days. There is a limit to the number of items and the frequency you may consign, to give all an equal opportunity to consign. Usually consignments are taken from the first of the month until the 21st. However, this changes occasionally when the need arises in the shop. There are also items which cannot be consigned, so checking the website before heading out is important. While you are there, be sure to check out the great selection for sale in the shop! Hope that helps you.
