I love my Japanese hair straightening. Straight and beautiful. The straightening allows me to wear my hair exactly as I want to, now I have wash and wear hair

I have been a Japanese Hair Straightening client of Patrick Evan's for over 10 years. My incredibly thick hair is very difficult to straighten, and Patrick is the only person I trust to straighten it. On several occasions I have been there when clients come in from other salons for a consult to ask Patrick to fix their botched thermal reconditioning jobs from ANOTHER salon. I have and will continue to recommend my friends to Patrick.

I have been coming to Patrick at Patrick Evan Salon for almost 12 years to get Japanese Hair Straightening/Thermal Reconditioning. He is AMAZING. The thermal reconditioning is the best money I have ever spent on my hair. Japanese Hair straightening makes life easy. Shower and go, not work. I have also had Keratin treatment aka Brazilian Blow Out on top of my Japanese Hair Straightening which was fantastic. It made my soft straight hair, shiny and softer. If you are looking for easy gorgeous hair go to Patrick Evan Salon for your Brazilian Blowout/Keratin Treatment and Japanese Hair Straightening/Thermal Reconditioning.

Questions & Answers

How much will it cost for a Japanese hair straightening?

It’s usually based on time, about $100 per hour. So the price often depends on how long, thick, coarse and curly your hair is. I’ve paid between $400 and $800 dollars depending on where I am in the process. Retouches should be less if done regularly for just the new growth. It’s still expensive because it’s very time consuming for the stylist. It’s permanent for the treated hair but new growth has to be treated about every six months. I’ve never had any problems with my scalp or hair loss. I have used Liscio (I consider it the very best. Creates the silkiest texture. Yukio is also very good but harder to find. Bio-Ionic is good. Chi is an inferior product because hair will react to chlorine and the retexture is undone but your natural texture doesn’t come back so you’re left with a mess that has to be completely redone, so if you swim it’s no good at all.

Hi! Does Japanese Hair Straightening need other care after treatment? (like not washing it the next day, for example) If you go for a free consultation, do you need an appointment or reservation? Can you get a “quote” from the consultation?

I don't know about this salon specifically, but generally yes you should not wash your hair for a few days after straightening. Sometimes they also recommend not working out because sweat can affect it.
