I believe that with the Klamath Co. Sheriff the service (or lack of it) depends a lot on who you are. They can disregard seniors who are alone as it's difficult to insist on getting the much needed help that a situation calls for. For example, the neighbors in the mobile home park where I live were engaging in vandalism on my trailer. They got past my locks and poured scoopable cat litter down my kitchen sink. This made my kitchen unusable for over a month as I am low income and had to clear it myself. When I reported it the deputy became red-faced angry with me and refused to report it. Now it is the sewer system plugged with cat litter as the pipes are accessible from outside. I have multiple disabilities and my health has been ill-effected by the stress. The deputies also say that they are going to check into it but never do. The fact that they don't help the vulnerable says everything about who these officers really are.

Nothing but a joke!! We've had a neighbor parking their car on the other side of our driveway and with my suv it's difficult for me to back out, by the time I get halfway out my bumper is right up against their car, what am I supposed to do about it? Well I called the police, they said they'd send an officer to ask them to move over enough for me, well an hour and a half went by before the cop showed up only to tell me there's nothing he can do, I called the sheriff and was told that's wrong, I have a right to exit my property so who's telling me the truth? Protect and serve my foot,what are my taxes paying for if you're not going to do anything!!

I was snowed in my RV with no heat, water, or power with my 3 cats in Sprague River. My son posted on the local bulletin board to see if someone could give me a well check and know that I was okay. Unfortunately no one could make it up there from the town, but a retired sheriff living in the area read the bulletin and contacted the sheriff's department in Klamath county. One officer tried to take his four-wheel drive up to check on me but could not make it and called another officer with a snowcat to come to me to find out if I was all right. Once I told them of my situation they told me they would like to take me to Klamath falls for my own protection because another storm was coming in, a big one. I agreed, grabbed a couple things and my three cats and they brought me to Klamath falls. I don't remember the two officers' names but if it weren't for them I don't know if I would have made it through the second storm. I'm indebted to them for my well-being. They made sure I had a place to stay where my cats could be with me. They waited with me till I could get the funds transferred to me and secure my location. if it weren't for the two officers that came to check on me and talk me into leaving the area, well let's just say I was on the verge of just giving up. I was so cold that all I could do was lay under my blankets with my cats to stay warm and if I would have had to live through the second storm coming through I don't know that I would be writing this review today. I am indebted to them for my life, I feel and they are my heroes. Thanks to all three sheriffs, including the retired female sheriff, I am warm, my cats are warm, and I'm a much happier person.

The biggest joke in Klamath County. They don’t even have 24 hour patrols. As a domestic violence victim they let my property be destroyed as opposed to waiting 30 minutes for the asshat to return. Then when they went to arrest him didn’t even go to the right property. My gun was stolen in another incident and they lied on the police report so the da ended up dropping the charges because my statement did not match the report and I couldn’t even get the supervisor or sherif to return my calls.
