Good food at an affordable price. Good service.

It’s nice to come on a weekday to eat dim sum since it’s not too crowded and we could be seated right away. For a party of 2 the quantity of food seems a little overboard, but we ordered with the intention of taking food home since this restaurant isn’t convenient to where we stayed. I ordered my usual favorites: - Deep Fried Pumpkin with Salted Egg Yolk - Pan Fried Chives Dumpling - Deep Fried Turnip Cake with XO Sauce (Spicy) - Shiu Mai Shrimp and Pork The food is consistently delicious so I dine here every year when I visit the Bay. The service is usually very good, but on this visit they forgot some of our dishes even though I checked with them multiple times in both English and Cantonese. They were friendly and apologetic, but it was still a little frustrating and that is why I rated them 4 stars. Normally I’d give them a 5. Regardless, I will keep coming back. The quality and uniqueness their menu offers is worth it, way better than what we can get in Hawaii.

The service could be wayyyyyyyy better (they kinda ignore you a lot)... but I came here for the food and most of what we have was good. We had the Siu Mai, Chinese broccoli, salted egg yolk pumpkin, har gow, and shrimp crepes which were all good. The sticky rice and beef chow fun could use more salt/flavor.. it just felt like it was missing something. The place itself could use an upgrade and the bathroom could be a little bit cleaner.

Looking for a dim-sum restaurant? This is a local's secret: food is better than nearby competitors, less crowded, upstairs and downstairs dining room... It's quieter... here your family can chat here without having to shout. Pleasantly surprised with a dish of Japanese-style jelly fish: in a Chinese restaurant?... wasabi flavored! 👍

TaiWu provides two free parking lots right at the corner of El Camino Real/Hillcrest Blvd (1st lot) and the 2nd one just a very little further close to the 1st one! Look for the signs : " Tai Wu Parking" & " TaiWu Additional Parking"!! Recently they posted on their Main Entrance a clear map showing & directing you how to get to the right spots of the TWO Parking Lots! Look for it please.
