Personally, it was the one that I liked the least of the plantations that we visited. Although the story is interesting and has some original things, the price seemed quite expensive to me. The visit is made with a guide dressed in period costumes and there are several reconstructions of cabins with different exhibitions.

Good Morning Tricia, one mile away from us is Ormond Plantation. They are a bed & breakfast. They do a nice lunch during the week and a brunch on Sundays.
They are in Gramercy, Paulina, Reserve area, about 15 to 20 miles from Destrehan Plantation.
The plantation is open 7 days a week from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with the exception of major holidays. Best, Melissa
Locals Day is Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 10 am to 4 pm. Show your Louisiana License and get on the grounds for free. Receive 20% off in our gift shop on most items and tour the plantation home at a discounted rate of $10 for adults, $5 for children 7 - 17 years of age, and children 6 and under free.
I think you should contact the people of the Plantation
About 90 minutes, there arebsome good groupins online, check for them before you purchase
Yeah, but you will want to explore the grounds so a dry day would be better.
