Very nice park! Hiking trails very well maintained, benches and trash cans along the way. The View is spectacular. Ranger was very helpful. State Parks need to take notes from this park about trail maintenance and updating maps. This park has it down to a science! Love this place, will be returning!

This park is perfect if you are looking for a hike with different path options. The routes are very well marked and they offer nice fauna and flora information along the trail. The variety of birds and fungus (photos attached) is huge! Make sure to bring insect repellent, they will follow you the whole walk! 🦟

Nice area with different paths to take throughout the area.

Awesome place to hike if you want to get away real quick without a bunch of people around and live in west Catawba County or east Burke County. Picnic and hiking with plenty of woods to walk through. It is gated so you have to watch your timing on the trails. Very clean restrooms and courteous state park employees are the norm. Pet friendly as well! Update: trails needs maintenance really bad. NC Forestry needs to put some money in fixing trails. Sad!🙁 Enjoy it though.

Yes.... it's not a large fall. The hike is moderate if you are not a seasoned hiker or have some limitations. The park is nice and the trails are well maintained. Have fun!
There is a little over 5 miles of combined trails consisting of four colors which are red, blue, orange and yellow. There are several intersections for creating a variety of routes and some can be moderately strenuous. Since the words like strenuous, moderate and easy are quite subjective I use the terminology rather loosely. Since the park is limited to under 200 acres most hikers average completing their hikes in 90 minutes. I hope this helps and one can call the ranger station (828)324-8461 to speak with a ranger or leave a message for a return call.
No Baker's Mountain does not have any bike trails
There are no mountain bike trails at Bakers Mountain Park.... We do have mountain bike trails at Riverbend Park. Thanks!
