The name has changed to Taylor's Tavern. The service was good and the atmosphere was what I expected for a small town bar. We had a good time with reasonably priced drinks! We will be going back for another night out soon!!

Darts and pool mainly. They do have a stage area and a dance floor. Temporarily closed to spruce the place up!
They don't serve food except on Sundays. Pot luck. Regulars bring a dish. Japanese next door.
If you are not from around here you may not be familiar with the "Private Club" idea. By Law North Carolina doesn’t permit bars in the traditional sense - If you sell at least 30% of your sales in food you can be considered a restaurant if not then you are considered a private club, as a private club every patron must be a member or a guest of a member. No worries here, because we are private, does not mean you can't come see us. Just bring your ID - First if you want to try us out and see if you like it - You can do a 1 day membership for $1.00 or you can do a Full Year for $10.00. All memberships reset in May so even if you get on in April you will need to renew in May - But no need to worry if you renew during May we will renew you for only $1.00 for the whole year. Then you are on course and can renew every may for only $1.00.
