We ordered 4 yards top soil, screened, for our yard ~ and what we received is sand. Dirty looking sand. We used some for our retaining wall and it washed out ~ no grass is growing where we filled in areas of the lawn. I called just a few minutes ago and was told we received “sandy loom, light” because that’s what was delivered to them. Person “nothing we can do” as I sit here with 2 yards I know have to dump. My point with low review is the lack of responsibility from AJs and not telling customers this would be the type of top soil delivered so we, the customer, could decide if it would work or not for projects. We ended up buying many backs of soil from HD to mix in hoping seed will take and to stabilize area of retaining wall. Ask first if youre looking for top soil. $200 wash out.additional Note : since we had 4 yards we tried mixing and planting with what was delivered - all the plants died or had to be re planted - nothing grew where we put grass seed ~ check what they’re delivering as I posted earlier loom is not top soil screened - it’s sand.
