I recently moved to the area and this seems to be the only Catholic Church without going to savannah or HH, sadly. The homily is always well put and good at appealing to multiple demographics, however everything else is dreadful. The music is discordantly sung by people belting with their head voices to 70’s-80’s church music—often without harmony. Inter-dispersed between songs are children’s theater chimes (like the sort that signal a character had an idea), drums, or instruments that simply clash with the organ. I keep track of my heart rate and blood pressure, both of which spike during mass at this church. If you come early to pray, expect all announcements to interrupt you prior to mass—instead of after like every Catholic Church I’ve attended worldwide. Nothing feels reverent as you race through prayers at the speed of light in a mad dash to try to beat the world record for shortest full mass. Truly a shame since this church is right next to my home.

This is the best place for me to worship! They keep Jesus on the crucifix! I wish there were more just like it.

We had a wonderful experience at St.Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Our time spent in Bluffton,S.C. was also lovely and much of the time was spent at the Church. My husband and I were Eucharistic Minister and our teaching for that ministry was done by Gary Boylan....a truly holy man. We had to move back to Georgia but will always cherish our time in Bluffton. And at St.Gregory the Great.
