We stayed in Cabin 5. The cabin was well maintained Pots and pans. Dishes, glassware, cups, coffee maker, kerig, Clean sheets and towels. They even seemed brand new. So crisp and nice. Clean and bed bug covers on mattresses and pillow protectors on tall the pillows, something that is a plus. Working with staff was a very good experience. I would give them a 10 for everything they were responsible for. The biggest downfall was nothing they could help, that was Highway 61 was noisy all day and night. When the big trucks brakes for the bridge O'boy, First night scared me so many times. After the 3rd night I became accustom to it I suppose. O' and No Laundry Facilities, the nearest one is 11 miles away up Hwy 61. The hiking trails were managed and easy peasy. Beautiful trails. RV Camping Sites were clean and well maintained. Full hooks. Bath houses were clean and sterile. Tent sites were high and dry after the long night of rain we had, water and electricity on tall sites, and even had an above ground pantry lock box. A big plus for tent camping. Play ground was safe and clean for the children with bathrooms very close by. Enjoy your stay. We did and will be back someday.

We love this park. I wish there were primitive tent sites for couple campers, not just groups. Perhaps next time, I will inquire if it is available if no large groups are scheduled. We like to camp more primatively in an open area where we can see the stars. The hike-in tent sights are well maintained and for many and it is nice to have water and electricity and nearby bathrooms. They have updated many areas since we were there a couple years ago. The main building is now open as a gift shop rather than a space able to be rented for events. There are still several outdoor pavilions as well with feeling areas and picnic tables. Downstairs is the new home to Edisto River adventures. (Open seasonally) It's about $25 per person to rent a tube. They pick you up and return you to givhans ferry campground when you are finished playing at their "sandbar" with volley ball courts, corn hole, picnic tables, food trucks etc.

I hope nobody else finds out how nice it is here

Call them for current rates.
Not necessarily. The park sees a bit too much traffic for casual, peaceful fishing.
You have to carry it down a steep path.. approximately 200 feet(ish)
I have only camped there once. It was a nice campground, but I had to leave my husband at the camper while I attended grandson's graduation and had no way to keep in touch with him and he had major health problems. Thankfully nothing went wrong, but I would hate to have an emergency there with such poor reception . We couldn't even get cell phone service . We won't be camping there again.
The last time that I was there I saw dogs ON THERE LEASHES
Primitive camping begins at $20 and rates increase depending on season and demand
I don't know but you call park services
They do have shelters you can use. Contact the office to get permission.
I only saw things made with bees wax and honey, candies and t-shirt.
If you leave a message at the park they will get back to you.
Yes and the riverfront and playground was renovated over the last 3 years.
