Filled out an application for rental assistance two months ago. I their application out to the "T" and included all of the required documents. Last Friday, my landlords left me an eviction notice and now I have less than 5 days to move out. These people will not help you. Important information was included on this application and I’ve heard from no one and now facing being homeless. If someone of a higher authority sees this please do something about this. This is wrong.

I would recommend going to the site (www.shasc.org) set up an account so that when waiting lists open you are notified. They also announce this on facebook so you may want to LIKE the housing authority facebook page so that you don't miss it.

They have 120 days to let you know usually they let you know within 30 days (sometimes) they only have one person at the moment so it could take some time. If it was orientation and you got a packet then you have your voucher just look for a home and follow instructions in the packet good luck!
They not gonna call u they will mail u a letter to come in and bring all ur info in
