This is an update to an original review, Hurricane did in my opinion fall short on several areas of our home originating from when it was built. Initially it was somewhat difficult to get ahold of them and did take quite a bit of time for the issues in my home to be resolved. There are still some minor issues that they are working to resolve but overall I have faith they will deliver on their promises to make the wrongs in my home right. With the above stated, once I was in contact with some of the senior level leadership of the company they were quick to at least attempt to resolve the issues in my home quickly. They did get delayed for obvious supply chain reasons but ultimately came to my home and took care of the majority of the issues in my home. I will say that my original opinion of this company was justified by what I was seeing in my home. Once they were aware, they resolved the issues in the best way that they could and even upgraded our floors in our entire home. I do appreciate their staff for putting up with me and my frustration. I love my home and believe it is now a quality product that both myself and hurricane are proud of. I am giving four stars because of the original issues and the duration it took to resolve those issues. Overall hurricane did their best to make the wrongs right and I am satisfied with the quality of the home now.

My husband and I bought our brand new home a little over a year ago in Norteast Columbia SC. The process and the experience with Hurricane builder was horrible. We had no problem getting in touch with our realtor and broker but their Customer Service skills very nonchalant. I felt like their demeanor was like“ are you buying/putting a contract on this home or what if not on to the next one” It’s like they don’t have patiences to help through the process. After watching our home being built for over 3 mos we were expecting to get what we paid for. Poorly built. Wholes in the walls behind bathroom sink. Which they would not fix during our year inspection stating it’s a plumbing issue....well daaaa. You allowed plumbing to pass inspection with wholes in the wall. Heating and air poorly installed. Bathroom ventilation poorly installed. Staining on the stair way poorly done. I could’ve done a better job. I can go on and on with the issues we have. To the people currently purchasing homes from hurricane builders please make sure you stay on top of your game with them.
