As a resident of Trotters Run for over 17 years, I can highly recommend this community. Since Southwood Reality has taken over, they have provided consistent and professional Property Management, which the previous owner did not provide. Our Maintenance Manager Will and our current Property Manager, Marisol are totally focused on the needs of the residents. The previous owner had a revolving door of personnel in their last years of ownership, which is why there are some negative reviews. I have stayed here because the floor plan of the apartment is perfect for me and I really love the location being close to shopping, restaurants, recreation and medical facilities. It is especially nice being a part of a neighborhood where you can go walking or biking. Expect a positive experience if you decide to move here.

Honestly perception is everything. It does not seem like the owner is placing back much of the money we all pay in rent back into the community. I wonder if they only charge more than most based on location? Staff here is friendly and really helpful but it’s obvious more staff is needed for these amount of units. Ex of our units problems: gutters are stuffed, unsafe balcony, hot water pipe about to burst, staircases look and sound like I built them, garages are dented, trash everywhere (need more employees), a lot of wear when preventive maintenance should be done (more employees). Some people here lost all respect for the property and their neighborhood and demand for respect starts up top. We moved from west park apartments Fayetteville to here. They weren’t perfect but ownership were at least on top of most things. We’re trying to make make the best of it, but the thought of breaking my lease has crossed my mind. I understand things happen but this place has potential, just needs better ownership!!! Also repeating that the workers are great, this is all on the owners.
