I received excellent service this morning! I brought my car in with transmission problems. They quickly found the problem and took great care of me! I found the dealership and was on my way home within an hour! Thanks so much to Angela, Jose and the other technician (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name)! I will recommend you to anyone I can! 7/11/22 Update- They finally fixed it from last time. A manager replied to my review, made false statements and called me a liar. He was gone from AAMCO later that week. AAMCO then closed for a week. A different person called to find out why my truck was there. He was nice and after a few weeks I got my fixed truck back. Now mid May 2022 reverse starts acting up. Sometimes, no matter how much gas you give it, it only slowly rolls backward. Back to AAMCO I go since it is still under warranty. New people yet again. First they told me it was a speed sensor they had to order, then they said they did not know what it was. Weeks pass and the only updates I get are when I stop in. Each time a new person is in charge who says they have to research the issue. And don't let the word transmission on the sign fool you. They only have one part time guy who is trying to retire that works on transmissions. Around 6 weeks I contacted corporate. A person called me the next day and sounded helpful. She said the warranty is good at any location if I can get it to another. The problem is my warranty is on a rebuilt. Columbia only does remanned transmissions so I can't really take it anywhere else. She said she would call shop and research the situation. Never heard back. The shop called to say I could get my truck, there was nothing wrong with it. When I went in and tested it reverse still did not engage the way it should. On flat pavement and floored it barely moved. No way you could back a trailer or get into a parking space on a grade. They told me all rangers are sluggish in reverse. Worthless warranty. Good luck if you decide to use them. Review from 7 months ago follows-Had a transmission rebuilt in a Ford ranger 11 months ago. I took back twice for leaking seals now it's in the shop for a last month consecutively waiting to find out repair no contact from business. They won't even answer their phone. The only contact is when I go in.
