I tried to receive financial assistance here since that’s what they claim they offer. However, the director Kim is very rude and not understanding. Sadly, since I’m a minority, not of the same faith, and don’t have the right name, I was harshly refused. Even if someone doesn’t meet the requirements, there’s a way to speak to them kindly and offer other solutions or services rather than turn them away and ignore them. It’s sad when people mistreat others in need not realizing one day they might be in the same situation of needing assistance. I would not recommend this place.

First time there. Greeted by the sweetest lady, Dana. She told me what documents I would need to bring the next time I visited. She took my paper showing what items I needed and she returned with all of the items. They are not open on Mondays and you just drive up, fill out your request and then pull into a parking spot where a volunteer will bring your items to you car. I was very thankful for receiving our blessing.

Yes Sonia. I think they may be as the Thrift Store is open. They are open Weds through Friday. Not sure of the hrs. Also on Saturdays and Mondays. You can go on the Website. North Gwinnett Coop.com. They rarely answer the phone.
Please go on the website but they are filled for Christmas for the kids but you probably still can get a Christmas box to make dinner with.
Bring in your ID, your Socially, Birth Certificate for kids and yourself, check stubs proof of your job, proof of address. They have a Thrift store. You can get groceries like canned goods and services every other month. Bread and baked goods once a week. Tutoring for kids. They offer Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance. The volunteer's for the most part are great. They genuinely care.
I believe they are closed until after the first of the year. There is a fb page and a website.
Yes
You need your picture ID, proof of income such as a bank statement or some other form showing where your income is coming from and if you have kids that receive any kind of income bring their paystubs and your paystubs if you work. Take all proof of income and picture ID number to the Gwinnett Co-Op to apply for food.
You need to gather together a few things before you go to their office. You will need your picture ID, proof of income such as your most recent bank statement, proof of Social security income such as your award letter, proof of any kind of government assistance you're receiving, copy of pay stubs if you work. Also, names of your kids, dates of birth, name of school they are in and take all of this to the North Gwinnett Co-Op office and go up to the front desk and tell them you are coming to get food and they will give you a number and you sit and wait until another employee calls your name and you go into his office and you show all of your documents to him and of course your food sheet you fill out. After he verify's everything for you and your kids he tells you to go out and have a seat and they have people in the back room who are probably volunteers and they get all of your food together and bring all of it out in a grocery cart and even take it to your
That is the procedure, you just have to show up in person with your valid documents.
It might be too late but call them to see if you can see still sign up for it.
ID, birth certificate for everyone in the household, proof of income and a proof of address. Call and verify if you have other questions. Stay blessed.
