I remember walking into City Beverage the first time and being totally overwhelmed by the selection. I think the selection deserves them at least 4 stars on its own. After a few times of going, I thought I'd try to make conversation with the owner, which didn't turn out as friendly as I'd hoped. However, I went back many times and was given excellent service by the owner's son and their other employee. Since then I have gotten to know the owner a little and have found him to be very nice (edit: the owner passed away and left the store with his son). The prices are consistent with other local wine/beer stores, which is a little high, but not enough to complain about. Other reasons I give them 5 stars: (1) The store is always well stocked, very organized and clean, and it has a great atmosphere. (2) They offer home-brewing supplies and classes on occasion. (3) Eight selections are on tap. (4) They offer awesome discounts on slow moving cases.

Great beer selection, some are a bit pricey but good deals can be found. Small but always good tap selection also. Plus side is it's a family owned small business. It's the holiday season and City Bev is my favorite place! So many great stouts and special release beers. Go! Update! Now has more seating.
