I have two HVAC units in my home. Both are less than 3 years old. In the past two months I have been charged almost $2,000 for repairs and refrigerant on these two units. I don't know if the units are garbage or if the repair people are ripping me off. They describe problems that can only be classified as manufacturer defects. Why am I having to come out-of-pocket to recharge refrigerant when refrigerant should last the lifetime of the unit?

Rheem hybrid heater has failed 3 times in 4 years. The same control board keeps being replaced. Rheem finally approved the new unit under warranty, all while I’ve paid $900 in fixing it in labor. Now they won’t return my call and support my case number to cover the install costs on my new unit. Unacceptable for multi thousand dollar water heater.

"No restrooms for drivers" is what the receiving guy said... This is how Rheem warehouse employees treat driver for delivering their products on time, and sometimes that means skipping brakes, restroom stops, and even lunch in some occasions due to traffic, breakdowns, or being held up at the last delivery. 🤦🏻♂️

I am a little worried now after reading all these reviews. I had a Rheem water heater installed January 2020. A part did fail on the unit in August 2020. When I contacted Rheem, they did send me out a replacement. ($30.00 express shipping, my cost) Unfortunately, it was the wrong part, one digit off on the stock number. When I called back they told me that the part I needed will not be in for months, so they replaced my entire water heater for free. Now, my fingers are crossed that I don't run into any more problems.
