We recently visited the Humane Society of Port Jervis in hopes to find a furry friend to add to our family. Our visit did not disappoint! We were able to make an appointment and meet our Ollie and bring him home the same day. The staff was friendly, kind, and loving. You can see why so many animals are placed in homes that fit their personalities. The adoption process was seamless and quick. We are grateful to the Humane Society for allowing us the opportunity to safely visit and adopt our new love, Ollie (Pooh)!

YES GREAT JOB WONDERFUL STAFF
You would have to call the PJ Humane society. I am just a person looking to adopt a dog
Please call the shelter at (845) 856-3677 to ask a manager.
We drop off items whenever they are open. They are open 11-4 Wednesday through Sunday.
Yes, the T.A.R.A. van stops there. The info is on their website, or you can google the T.A.R.A. service. Ingot my dog spayed last year and they're phenomenal, very caring, and follow up.
It depends on the breed of the dog. Also I think sometimes the age of the dog is a factor as well.
Please call the shelter (845) 856-3677

We don't s/n animals at the humane society. TARA in Middletown offers low cost s/n services.
We don't have any scheduled at this time. Tractor Supply offers vaccine clinics on Saturdays...pls call your local store for details and TARA in Middletown can give you info about their clinics.
I'm so sorry this happened to you. We have not seen him, but will certainly keep our eyes open for him and let you know if he happens to show up at our shelter.
Yes I've adopted many cats and kittens from there throughout the years. They usually spay/neuter and give vaccines once those are done you're good to go!! Good luck :-)
We do not euthanize animals for space or length of stay. We are not a sanctuary, so if an animal is aggressive and poses a threat to others, after eliminating all options, we may have to euthanize it, but it is always a last resort that we deeply regret.
