Hello Marc - as of a few days ago, the Trumbull side of the trail was open (almost 3 miles) but the Monroe side is still not fully cleared.

Only a few spots would be deep enough to take a dip. That being said, the river is regularly stocked with trout, not to mention other natrual wild life you could find in the water. I wouldn't recommend swimming at all.
