My husband had been battling aggressive prostate cancer since March of 2021& started external beam radiation treatments on March 17,2022. I take him 5 x week for 8 weeks. It's very costly with gas prices. I contacted Catholic Social services for assistance with gas & was told that they don't offer that service. I wasn't asking for money. Just a gas card to help out with the cost of gas. My husband & I are both active members of St Rose church & my husband still serves as a Eucharistic Minister,An Usher & what ever else he is asked to do for his church he does willingly. I also serve as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector & what ever else is asked of me. We also contribute to our church. Even though it's very difficult financially. I find Catholic Social Services to be very un compassionate.
