Elisco, I apologize for the delay in responding. We test every 3 months but not all students are ready to test at each 3 month marker. It takes at least 4 years to reach the first rank of black belt at our school and that is coming 2 - 4 nights a week. Our adult classes meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with Tuesdays being geared specifically to advanced students.

Yes - Everyone is welcome to pop-in and watch a class to ensure you’re comfortable with the environment, what we teach and how we teach it. Also, keep in mind you can try a week for free and we don't have contracts so you have several options to help you make the best decisions. You might want to give us a call first so we can suggest the best time for you or your child but that’s not required. We’re located in the Curry Ford Plaza at: 3340 Curry Ford Rd, Orlando, FL 32806.

It is fine if you have never taken karate before. We teach everyone from Karate experts to people with very little athletic experience of any form. Our instructors recognize the diversity of our students and go overboard to encourage growth in each member of our community.

Our main focus is group instruction however we are blessed with a sizable team of passionate instructors so there tends to be lot of one-on-one instruction. Our passion is helping individuals grow mentally and physically through Karate instruction. We’ve been doing this in the same Conway location for over 30 years and many of our students never leave. Most (if not all) of our instructors have been training at this location for over ten years.

We do not require a contract. Membership is on a month-by-month basis.

When students are promoted past beginner level, they can participate in weapons classes. We teach the traditional Okinawan weapons: Tonfa, staff (Bo), Sai, Nunchaku, Kama, Shuriken. We also have sword class taught by Sensei Bob Elder.

Our Karate school does teach fighting techniques and we spar - though sparring is light contact. Our school leans more towards kata and technique than pure fighting.

Karate can be a great place to age however it depends on the type of school. Our school leans heavily towards kata and technical instruction so its very suitable for anyone to get in shape or remain in shape.
