Once again I’m disappointed in NorthStar. The staff is disorganized and uncaring. Save your money and find someplace else. The Doctors are knowledgeable but they as well as techs lack compassion. My dog was like my first born child and denying me the right to see her for just a minute before she went for her test was completely uncaring of them. Right after they did the test she past away. For the rest of my life I will regret that I did not get to say goodbye and giver her one last kiss.

Poor communication among staff there caused them to fail to examine my cat for the primary concern - a problem with his mouth. Instead, they found a urinary blockage and took extraordinary measures - creating great discomfort to him - and great expense to me - to return a miserable cat to me with terminal mouth cancer. Worst vet experience of my life. In response to Northstar's response: first, the record should show what I told the intake person - my vet could not open my cat's mouth for an exam and told me to take him to Northstar where he could be anesthetized for a proper exam. That never happened. I would never have tortured my cat the way Northstar's intake mandated. They sent me home with oral medicine - after my vet and their tech were unable to open his mouth to perform an exam. Shameful.

They told me they don't do payment plans and when I got my invoice (after I had paid), it had payment plan options at the bottom. $1100 later but if I were to keep my cat overnight, $4000. Who has that money on an emergency visit with no payment plan options? Really Northstar...

I took my dog here because he is suffering from a neck injury. They told me he definitely needed an MRI and possibly surgery. I had to drop him off at 7am on Wednesday for the procedure that was not done until after 3pm and was not allowed to get him til 830om so I was charge for an all day vet visit which is an extra $150 on top of the already large vet bill. Then the Neuro Doctor tells me he needed a spinal tap and when the results come back on Friday she would call me and we would create a more permanent plan to treat my dog. It is now Wednesday a week later and I have already called three times. The test results have come back in. But the front desk keeps telling me the doctor is apparently "going" to call me back to discuss them. I'm still waiting. They have no problem taking your money and ordering the expensive tests but God forbid they take 5 minutes out of their day to call you to let you know what the results say. They advertise that they care so much for your pets and are compassionate but they have no follow through or time for any follow up
