Best nature trail we have been to in the area so far! We saw an owl and lots of turtles. We also saw many blue jays and red cardinals. There was lots of shade with the tall trees and just loved hearing the water running and trees rustling with the wind.

No, just one path has some standing water, but I easily walk around it. But most don't go that way anyways...
Yes, leashed. Bring your own waste bags, but there is a garbage bin in the parking area.
Yes, they have paths through the woods,and a gravel path around the lake,
It is a very nice lake. If you kayak , beware of gators. The path around the lake is just over a mile but well defined and wide. You may see tortoise and snakes along the path. Leave them alone and they will do the same. There are some nice size largemouth bass in there if you plan to fish. Plenty of parking and I have never had any problems there. Enjoy !!
