Update: 5 years after my first visit, this place managed to move from 4* to 1* To begin with, the lady at reception was very rude and racist while assigning the table. The whole restaurant was almost empty but she put us in corner closet to the door and on one side it had a plant out of which flies kept flying out while we ate our lunch. Second, the people who came after us were served prior to us (they were American) It felt terrible. We were ready to leave the restaurant but were too hungry to find another place immediately. Third, we ordered two paneer based items(something like paneer sandwich chutney and saag paneer), garlic naan, kurkuri bhindi, Gulab Jamun Cremé Burley, and whiskey on the rocks it all tasted fine until the end of lunch I started feeling stomach bug. The food messed up my stomach and I had to visit restroom every 10 minutes. None of the items from above list gives me stomach issues ever and I was certain it was something wrong with one of the food items. This led to me staying another day in New York, missing my train to home, and rebooking the accomodations and travel. Please avoid this place. The negative reviews are true. After spending almost $200(which included 18% default gratuity), we had to suffer so much. Karkari bhindi and Chai mule were the best items from the things we ordered. Service 8/10 Food quality 7/10 Ambiance - 8/10

Great food. Inexpensive considering the location of the restaurant

We were looking for an Indian restaurant near Times Square. Within walking distance we reached the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful on the second floor. We ordered a lemon and coriander soup which was excellent, a Szechuan noodle dish, a lemon rice dish and an Indian spicy chicken dish. The food was delicious, I've had better turkeys in my life. The noodle portion was large, but the other portions were small. The price of soft drinks is reasonable compared to Manhattan. Price per couple including tax and service $90.

This place is great , very near to Times Square hotels , good ambience. Starters are very tasty esp paneer kulcha , it comes in two small pieces and very tasty . Staff is very sweet and overall good experience.

Through a bar on ground floor. U will see stairs on right as u enter
It is pretty spacious compared to similar eating places in the area
Better to reserve on weekends
