Mean old Lady behind counter , hard bread good ice sparking coffee Kimbo but it’s in a can. Disorganized counter lady taking customers from line and then when someone with a previous order comes in she serves them and there’s usually problems with those orders

I have no words to describe how happy I am that I walked into Di Palo's. It is a wonderful old time place right in the heart of Little Italy. Their products are amazing and I couldn't believe how good the prices are. The service is wonderful. This place takes you back to another time. This is a true New York place.

Hi we take all forms of credit cards and cash. As far as accepting ebt we are not clear if we qualify to accept it due to the fact that 95% of our product is imported from Italy and we’re unclear if it’s considered a “staple” food.
You have to wait to get in, only a few people allowed at a time.
We were closed Monday and Tuesday for a family matter. We are open today.

Dipalos is not really expensive for the quality that you ate getting. If you bring between $25 - $50 that shpuld load you up for at least a month
no they prefer if you call early the same day you're picking up. i call around 9:30 for a pickup around 2:00pm. that way they are open for 1/2hr. when i call and they have plenty of time to fill out the order. also i do not wander around picking up things at the last minute(even though i always see things i would like) so they don't have to adjust my bill and packages. i am also careful not to ask for my order until i see one of the counterpeople finishing up with a customer.
This is the best Italian food I've had and I'm Italian. It's truly homemade authentic been here 100 years. That said, idk if they could ship lasagna to Maine. I guess they could, but it might arrive sloppy ! I suggest their homemade mozzarella cheeses,etc. Fantastic !
Not sure about the cheese but a great store. Set a time limit for your wait however as even if packed give individual service without regard to the number waiting. Have seen more than 30 minuets with one customer. Their store, take it or leave it.
