Wonderful group of inspiring people that run this place, from volunteers to community donations, commitment to sustainability and healthy food, the Branford Community Dining Room is a example to follow and support. Thank you, CDR for all you do!

Wonderful, can go every day for lunch, dinner on certain nights, an excellent clothing bank. All brand names n clean. Staff is very helpful. I have sent many people for clothes and other household items. $20. Per year 24 visits.

There are many ways people can volunteer to help at the Community Dining Room. People are needed for preparing food, cleaning, and serving for meals. People with cars can volunteer to deliver prepared meals to people's homes, or to pick up supplies from local stores and bring them to the dining room. To volunteer, there is a form to fill out that is available on the Community Dining Room's website. After that, there is a short interview process and possibly a training session (depending on how you are volunteering).

Absolutely! Canned and non-perishables are always welcomed. And those can be left at the door by the parking lot if you can't get there during regular hours. The difference between the Food Pantry and the Community Dining Room (CDR) is that the CDR uses donated goods to prepare meals which are served during daily seatings or home- delivered. The Food Pantry provides access to needed grocery supplies to take home for self preparation.
