The Inn On Shipyard Park

We really enjoy The Inn on Shipyard Park. The view is gorgeous, the food delicious, and the service is awesome. We've met some of the nicest wait staff ever there, and the other customers are friendly too. Tonight's meeting with Harrison and his granddad was so sweet, and the digionne mustard haddock was excellent. I almost don't want to share this review for fear of drawing more customers to one of my favorite places.

This place is phenomenal. Service was exceptional and the tuna poke bowl was the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back

it's unfortunate that this is the only game in this beautiful town. been there several times during the past year, hoping that the outcome would be better. food is overall, mediocre. At times pretty good, at other times, not. service the same. The bar was a huge disappointment. Bartender could not make a decent expresso martini. Staff on multiple occasions were drinking with people there, not sure who those people were. This is a quaint venue, in a beautiful spot, and it's sad that it isn't better. With all of the wonderful choices we have for waterfront dining nearby, one would think that they would try harder.

Not the Mattapoisett Inn of old. Oh the inside is still dark and dingy and dated but the food has gone down hill and the menu is lame for such an iconic venue. Had to send the fish tacos back twice because they were under cooked, the clam chowder was gray and lack luster in flavor overwhelmed by too much pepper and too few clams and potatoes. Our server was super nice and well skilled but we got the stink eye stare from the bearded bartender after sending the tacos back twice. The only positive item was the traditional Portuguese spicy stuffed quahog. Won't be going back, however.
