Ashuelot River Campground

First time camping here and I will definitely be back. We had a site on the river and it was so relaxing. We took our tube on it and it was refreshing The sites are big. A storm was coming in last night, so the owner went around to warn us and suggest that we might want to put our awning it . The campground is well kept and the owner was just so nice.

New owners that are really working hard to make this a top campground. A beautiful setting on a river. You can kayak or float on a tube down this lazy river. Many great bike trails are close by. You can camp in the woods which we loved or camp in a well maintained open field with a huge green lawn. This place is close to a 5 star rating except no pool and limited bath houses that are clean but need updating. Nice game room for rainy days or drive to Keene and have a delicious dinner on main street. Would definitely go back.

Great location. Great staff. 15 minutes from downtown Keene. Every year they improve the sites and grounds. It is quite full for early camping season.

The Bates Motel RV

We stayed here for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend on site 26. We were very impressed with how clean the campground was, bathroom, office, etc. Our site was pretty level and really a large site with river access. The campground was very quiet and relaxing and the staff was extremely friendly. There is a road across the river, so there is some traffic noise, but it was not bad. We were about 20 minutes from downtown Keene. We really enjoyed our stay here. Make sure to follow the directions on the website if going vs. gps.
