It was a terrible experience. I was in the shop buying some hair products and a guy came to me offering me the salon services. He wrote in a note the service he considered I need and the price. I asked for and appt and when I went, he started to complain against his own coworkers saying he doesn't know why they put the appts so late, making me feel uncomfortable. The shop was going to close so the stylist told me that he wouldn't be able to finish the job, that he would leave me with bleached hair and that the following week he would color me. I had to beg him not to do it since I would have bad hair for a week. He rushed the highlight process and he took off the aluminum foils almost a minute after putting them on, therefore, the front part literally turned orange. Seeing this, he apologized and asked me to make an appointment with him again to have it repaired. A week later I wrote to him on Instagram to coordinate the appointment but he doesn't answer me, so I call the store, as he told me. They gave me the appointment but five minutes later the stylist called me angry denying that the work was incomplete and telling me that he did not feel comfortable finishing it. All this lying, being very unprofessional and contradicting himself. He tells me to come back to the store the next day for a refund. I made it clear to him that I wanted the job, not the refund, but that I didn't want to force things further so I accepted his refund. The next day, when I went to get my refund, the manager denies it, comparing my version with that of the stylist, full of lies. It takes me half an hour to explain the facts to him and he understood them, giving me the refund. Anyway, it was the worst experience in my life in a salon, I do not recommend it, it seems to me that everyone can be wrong, but I have never seen such an unprofessional stylist. And it was also a very awkward situation to have to confront my version with the manager when I was only supposed to seek my refund. It is evident that the work is poorly done, just look at me to realize that the highlights were wrong, the color was orange when it was supposed to be blonde, and it is a sloppy job. I expected a professional job, and in the end I expected at least they fix it or minimum I expected an apology but I just got a very bad time.

May 12th 2022, I entered the Holyoke ma Ulta beauty store. I had received two 25$ gift cards to use electronically. Unfortunately, one of my gift cards was faulty with the same PIN number as the bar code making it invalid. The cashier who was assisting me asked to see my phone to look at the coupon. She then proceeded to walk away to the middle of the store passing my cell phone to other employees all while they’re starring across the store, very clearly and visibly annoyed at the situation. After my phone was passed around to all these different employees, she comes back over, hands me my phone back and says, “it’s not valid, here”. They treated me like I was giving them fake gift cards and I was trying to Scam them, even though one of the cards worked and I received them in the same email/link. Whether my gift cards worked or not is completely irrelevant yet these employees immediately treated me with complete disrespect, was rude and had zero intention of making sure my visit there was pleasant. I left all of my items there and will absolutely not be returning to this location. I have been to this Ulta more than any other in my area, and time and time again, I am treated like a complete burden and inconvenience when I ask for assistance or there’s a mishap such as this. I will not be going back to that location and will be letting others know about my experience there as well.
