Everyone was so nice answered questions offered advice and the birds looked to be happy and content. When we are done making the final touches to our bird room I do plan to go back there to adopt one of those precious babies if possible.

Great experience. The lady was very nice and I'm glad the racing pigeon we found has a nice home. Great experience overall!

I was at a fair and they had a raffle box to take your money. I received a call saying I won. I never received my prize after leaving multiple messages. No one bothered to return call. Scammers!!

The woman who runs this rescue is absolutely lovely! Everything she does, she does for the welfare of the birds in her care. She is extremely knowledgable and openly shares information with the public in an effort to improve all bird care. Even those of us who think we've been doing everything right can learn a few things from Connie. I have. She is patient with new charges, giving them the time they need to adjust to whatever trauma brought them to her. I have seen her criticized for not allowing people in without an appointment. I would point out...she's rehabilitating traumatized birds. These animals have had a rough time of it. They need a little extra care and she's putting their needs first. In my opinion, that's exactly what a rescue should do. I don't mind making an appointment to see a bird I'm interested in. I've had a lot of questions and Connie has always either responded immediately or within 20 minutes. Sometimes even after hours. She genuinely cares about these birds and the people who sincerely want to give them a new start will always have her help and support. I would advise anyone interested in adopting a rescue to give Bird Nerds a call. They don't just feed and clean them. They rehabilitate them both physically and emotionally. These birds come in traumatized and leave well adjusted and healthy. The few who can not be emotionally rehabilitated, they keep. No bird is ever lost in Connie's care. I admire that depth of dedication.
