Me mom took me and the girls through riverside park to show us where she lived as a little girl. It was raining, but it still was a very beautiful and unique drive through. The lake is massive and gorgeous. The homes are stunning and jaw dropping. There city keeps your eyes busy with the breathtaking historical homes. Will have to go back to visit and to check out that interesting lighthouse.

Beautiful park! A nice area for a walk. The fountain is very well done, and the views of the water are incredible. The antiaircraft gun is pretty cool. A big playground area for the kids, and several Pokestops and gyms. Worth visiting!

Yes, there are grills here. They are along the riverfront. Not sure if there are any by the pavilion.

Best bet is go to Riverside Park and put a tarp down in a good spot. You can put tarps down starting at 5pm on July 3rd.
Technically, only on the paths but we've had our dog by the fountain and by our favorite bench swing with no troubles.
