I'm in here frequently. I have been coming to wild things long before they opened at the current location. I have traded in cards and also bought cards from here. all I can say is that I absolutely love the place and every person that I have had an interaction with here at this business has been Excellent. They truly are the most kind, helpful knowledgeable people I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Mark is one cool dude and always happens to be in when I'm buying cardboard crack and getting my fix on. I have traded in around 300$ dollars of my own personal collection and was able to get way more then I had originally thought. mark helped me in this. He went through over 400 cards within a few hours which to me is insane. The store is always clean, including the bathroom and gaming tables. They have drinks and snacks available too. I love you guys -Kev

Wild Things Games in Salem is a fairly large table top gaming and trading card store. They have a good selection of minis and games. Expect a lot of the big names here: magic the gathering, dungeons and dragons, pathfinder, etc. They did have other ttrpgs but mostly popular titles. They had a large gaming space in back also. The staff seemed friendly. I didn't interact with then much mainly because they had a bunch of customers at opening. From the conversations I heard snippets, the staff seems informative, patient, and very helpful. My experience was also pleasant. I have one minor complaint about the store: Their entire stock of dice in a locked glass cabinet toward the back near the game area, unlike most gaming stores who would put them in a glass counter at the front. I understand this is a anti-theft system. Though, my partner (who has anxiety and social problems) didn't feel comfortable looking through the loose dice. They even had their loose dice in the cabinet on a top shelf where I couldn't even see into the boxes (I am over six feet tall). Despite that, they had a good selection of dice which were at fair prices or cheaper than most gaming stores.

The person who helped me and my 9 year old grandson was so patient and helpful. He really took his time to educate my grandson on what to pick out. And made our experience a good one.

Great hobby shop with activities for those who want to participate. Always helpful staff. I’d give a five star but I rarely find what I am personally looking for at the prices I’d want to pay. I do enjoying going and think they’re a great store though!

Sorry, just got notifications for these messages set up, didn't realize questions were coming in for us directly on here too. Apologies for the delayed reply. I use a labor cost/trade for value system. Essentially, if it's a larger collection that takes time to research and you decide not to sell it to us, we will request the labor value from the collection upon the decision being made. We'll pay you in credit for the items traded for the labor, then charge that credit for the labor costs. Alternately, if it's a small collection, say under 15 minutes to appraise, we normally have no cost for that, or if you sell the collection, the labor cost is deducted in whole or partially from the payout value. Hope This Helps, Wild Things Games Staff

Sorry, just got notifications for these messages set up, didn't realize questions were coming in for us directly on here too. Apologies for the delayed reply. The issue with signatures without authentication is no one believes they're real. Assuming you already let go of this piece, but it is unlikely that it will be resellable without what they call "DNA Verification" on the signature. Thanks for Contacting, Wild Things Games Staff

Jeramy Bray | Feb 28, 2020

Yes to Poke & Magic, though some cards are bulk rare and we don't pay for energy/ basic mana. No to most sports. Though we no longer research them because it just wasn't generating anything of value, if you research and find sold values over $35, we may purchase them. Thanks for your inquiry. -WTG Staff

Please see http://www.WildThingsGames.com for our entire in stock single card inventory. It updates daily and if we are out of a card you're looking for, you can place it on your wishlist. It won't automatically order the card for you when it comes in, but it will email you and you may either place a website, in store pickup, order or come on in to grab it. :) -WTG Staff (sorry, not able to verify the card at this very moment)

If someone wants to teach me how to play Yu-Gi-Oh and also just meet a new friend, I moved to keizer a month ago and don't know anyone. I would really like to pick up the game again. I'm a little rusty

Check their face book for a yu-gi-oh tournament or Just stop in on a weekend. Their are usually a fair number of TCG gamers their on a weekend and most play multiple games. And most are pretty friendly. It should just be a matter of letting the tables know you want to learn and most would be glad to help you.

Do you carry any D&D product.

Does this establishment buy sports cards?

Teal Lindseth | Feb 27, 2020
Wild Things Games | Feb 28, 2020

We buy anything of value that we are able to ship, however, we don't do research on sports card collections anymore because the value just wasn't there. If you independently locate sold pricing for an item over $35 value, there is a chance we'd buy. Also see The New Hobby on 17th and Center. -WTG Staff
