I loved the location of this hotel between the arboretum, which was great for walks, and downtown for dining. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean and well-appointed.

The downtown location is great. Walkable to restaurants, shops, and campus. The unit was very clean. We had previously stayed in the main hotel, but booked a "cottage" for this trip. It was not worth the money. Overall, the hotel is very quaint and the look of the cabins inside and out was great. Our experience was disappointing because our cabin was missing key items I repeatedly asked the front desk for toilet paper which we finally got, but I gave up asking for silverware and just used the plastic ones we got with take-out meals. Also, the cabin shared a wall with the housekeeping closet and the rolling carts were SO loud. The pull out sofa was very unfomortable. I might stay again for the location, but not in the cabin.

Positive: This gem of a boutique hotel was just what was needed after a trip cross country. Perfect in every way..location, tasteful decor, quiet, clean, comfortable bed, and the fragrant, blooming jasmine..The hotel reception was welcoming and professional. Negative: No!

We would rank this hotel in the top 10% of hotels in which we have stayed across many years of traveling both in the US and abroad. It was almost shocking to find a property to clean and well kept. We will (already have) recommend the property to others traveling to or though Davis.
