The entire crew had a stellar time. For years we have been coming to the Trading Post for our river adventure. At this point we have lived and had adventures all around the world and this is one of our favorites. Thank you for another great experience Trading Post team. The kids all took to paddling their own kayaks within 10ish minutes (ages 6,7,8,9,10). So great that we are adding new adventurers to this annual river experience. I encourage everyone to take a river adventure with the Trading Post.

If you're looking for a Social Camping experience Friday-Saturday is a great time. If you're looking for a secluded and alone time, Sunday-Thursday is probably more your speed. Fantastic Experience We went to the Trading Post to canoe 13 miles, camp, then canoe another 7 miles. The staff were pretty amazing in accommodating us. Our campsite was just off the river. While the ground was still soft because of the rain we recently had, they kept the site unoccupied for days prior to my arrival to let the site dry. Upon arrival I had unique requests to which they were very accommodating. We set up camp, Saturday morning, and then made our way for the 1st leg of our canoe trip. With the high water and recent rains, the oars were just for steering as the river was moving quickly. There were plenty of people on the river as well. Camping that evening was quiet and relaxing. Everyone left Sunday morning making our 2nd canoe trip very quiet and relaxing.

Great place to come to. beautiful views. lazy river. Wish they had water at the campsite. Glad I have 26 gallon tank. The lack of water at the campsites would not stop me from returning. Awesome place just need to have plenty of water containers. Filling and dumping station on site.Thank you so much! We hope to host you again!

Yes, we have RV camping with electric hook-up and a water fill station, as well as a dump station. We also have a bathhouse with showers.
There is no overflow parking for campers. Everything must be parked on the site. All parking next to the building is for day paddlers only.

No they dont have cabins
I brought mine, he's a service animal and we kept him on leash. Whether or not that leash was in my hand I'll leave up to your imagination. Make sure your pooch will be comfortable around loud and crowded areas.

For $25ish you can launch at Trading Post in Mongo will transport you back.
You certainly can! We can transport your boat and gear for a fee, and you will have full use of our facilities. (We do not allow people to use our property for launch or parking if you are not using our transport services.)
It depends on what part of the river you are in, it varies from inches to about 4 feet except through the pond that is much deeper
You will have to call and ask, that late in the year is unlikely but they may accommodate especially iF You Have A Large Party
