Infested with roaches, fleas, and other insects. Case workers do not assist with anything. The safety staff are allowed to harass the women. Case workers open the door and just come in the apartment at any time. They discriminate against people with disabilities. The salt is allowed to verbally abuse clients. They allow drug use, alcohol, child abuse, and domestic violence at the shelter. The also have women’s group for women even though the staff can abuse the clients. The women are allowed to not watch their children at the play ground. Case workers Sharon Robles Montez accuse clients who are good parents of doing drugs, when they are not using drugs. They allow any and everything at this shelter. This is the Bellport zoo. Also male staff constantly call the phone to harass the women. Also the health department refuses to come out due to the arrangement they have with each other. This is a business only, They only care about collecting the 7,000 that department of social services gives monthly. Help Suffolk goal is to increase the duration of your stay so they can collect over 80,000 yearly. Profit off of the poor while we the poor people suffer with no direction or proper help. School lesion Roberto does not do his job, while lying on clients saying they don’t send children to school when the children are on school vacation. Help Suffolk hires low IQ people who abuse the clients because Kirsten allows them to do so. I complain to Kristen and she stated it’s his job ( allows case workers to lie on clients. Retaliation is allowed here, when you complain the staff ignores you and does not make repairs in timely manner. Roberto told my child school that they don’t make repairs because I am irate, help Suffolk does not make repairs due to their negligence. Roberto does not help with bidding issues, all he does is gossip about clients using sterotypes.Rob refuses to speak with me about a water leak and mold. Please shut this place down.

Hi Nigel 631 286 2400 is the direct number for the shelter. You can call and ask to speak with a social worker. If they have a space large enough to accomadate you and your family. Also you can contact the local Dept of Social Services in Coram New York. I haven't used their phone number in a long time because it gets kind of crazy trying to get through. You can go online also. I haven't contacted them online..i usually just go into the office. You are not living on long island yet so online may be the way to go. You have to apply for emergency housing services. Coming back to long island and applying for services takes a while..a lot of paperwork is involved. I pray the best for you and your family.

Residents are families place at the shelter through the Department of Social Services.
You have to contact Suffolk County Emergency Services (After 4:30 PM & Weekends, Holidays) (631) 854-9100. HELP Suffolk only houses family units but DSS has other resources for single adults.
