Lackluster experience here after ordering a 6” chestnut birthday cake. I expected it to have 2 layers and it to contain the light, airy chestnut I’m used to having at other Chinese cake bakeries but it was one layer with the top layer a sickenly sweet, dense “chestnut” (tasted more like mung bean) filling and a mound of whipped cream. You can tell even from the untouched cake picture that the top is mostly cream and filling. For $42 it was not worth it at all. I won’t be back.

A true classic, their cake will go down in Boston history.

I buy the durian cake here for every one of my family members birthdays. Their cakes are layered with fresh fruits and actual durian fruit. The prices are very reasonable. I’ve been going here for many years and they maintain the quality throughout the years. American cakes are boring and way to sweet.

Absolutely then best cake I've ever had.

yes
It makes chestnuts cakes but it is seasona I believe, best to check with them.
No
Not all cakes are rice based. They have fruit cakes made entirely of the fruit, such as mango cake is entirely made of mango even the filling. So yeah i believe they have gluten free cakes

Umm..... ? Welll as like ALL cake shops they all vary by style, ingredients, and size. It depends also if u order a custom made cake. Prices can go from $15-50+
they have plenty of different styles of cakes in here. most dont have peanuts but some probably do. if you have peanut allergy, you should let them know.
yes
I don't remember seeing any when I last went.
You can probably call or go in to see. I'm pretty sure they do custom orders.
