The lead psychiatrist at this facility told me I "don't deserve friends" and yet another one misdiagnosed me with schizoeffective disorder at the age of 16. These experiences have since been a piece of trauma I have to work through. They also overmedicated me to the point where my leg shook constantly and I was unable to stop it even in my sleep. My resting pulse was 140 bpm and the psychiatrist still did not allow me to try another medication.

Listen this place is very horrible Ever since my brother's been in this place they've been beating him up the patients these workers do not work all they worry about is the paycheck So they could go gambling

can this be a long term locked facility, if someone is a flight risk and is schizophrenic, and delusional? He is calm, likes to participate and socialize. Is there any relationship with Calvary hospital? Thank you for your help!

No relationship with calvary hospital it is a long term locked facility and they have out patient care too

The original 2 buildings which i believe are abandoned now. Any plans of demolition work on them?? They are such an eye sore. I can see rhem from where i live

Thank you for getting back to me

I was informed that the patient population at Bronx State are violent patients. Is this correct? Please advise, as my daughter who is nonviolent will no longer be cared for in a general hospital setting and will be discharged to your facility.

There are some cases of violence that occur, but. Most of the patients are not violent people.

Can I call the hospital to find out if a patient is there?
