I don't know the library's schedule; you have to call or visit in person. There are many places offering free HHA training, often at the health agencies. However, it is part of their application process if you pass the final NY certificate exam.
If you are over 18, the easiest way is to bring in a NYS license, photo ID or mail. If you are under 18, you must have a parent/legal guardian with proof address. Non-parent guardians should bring proof of legal guardianship.

The library may allow you to renew the books. However, you may have to pay the overdue bill first. It does not seem to be avoidable. If you hold on to them that fee would increase daily. In fairness to other patrons, it is advisable to return the books and make your request. If you are unable to renew them. You may be able to download the same-like publications digitally from the library system. There may be other available books on the same themes. Or you may have to wait until the same publications are available again.
It cost $1 to replace a library card.
The library accepts completed applications at the circulation desk. The application is available on our website, or in person. We keep all applications on file for 6 months.
