I have been donating through this organization for years and have NOTHING but amazing things to say. I find comfort items my family and i no longer use are going to people who could. Customer service is always a wonderful experience. They respond promptly and professionally. A very small issue regarding a pick up and it was resolved within the hour. An amazing organization to donate to!!

The donation process is so easy. I drop off clothes and household items often. They will give you a receipt for tax purposes. The best part is that you will help others who really need your help.

when we reached someone deep inside the agency, they graciously sent a truck for the items. Unfortunately this happened before someone responsible intervened: Two major issues: We made an appointment for a truck to pick up our stuff on Long Island. We received a confirmation email, then carried about 8 bags of donations to our apartment lobby. No truck appeared and a building staff member had to carry the bags to a building storage room. We then left multiple messages with the organization to sort out the situation and request that a truck come. No one ever returned our calls!!! Someone did return a call from the building staff person and offered a pickup in a month. But I guess we donors weren't important enough to call back. From the outside, the organization appears incompetent and indifferent. So sad because people desperately need mentoring and other assistance.

Yes, they take baby and toddler clothing. It is not directly donated. All clothing is sold at Savers and 100 % of the net proceeds supports the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program right here on Long Island.
No, no rugs. Only clothing and small household items like small appliances, toys, table lamps, knickknacks, ceramics, dishes and glassware, picture frames, bedding, (no pillows).
Hi, I'm sorry but we don't. Our warehouse is full & we accept only items under 19 inches like hand held weights & some sports equipment, small household items & clothing. Maybe you can try the salvation army or St. Vincent De Paul
Do you accept yarn ?
Big brothers big sisters no longer has furniture pick ups due to space availability at the facility. 3 Savers stores affiliated in Long Island accept furniture in good condition at West Hempstead, Holbrook and Medford.
