We like Carmen's plenty. The hours and wait are what Carmen chooses for her nice, neighborhood place, so if you like to complain about such things and have a hard time chilling out, it's best to go elsewhere.

So Carmen, I was invited this morning to have breakfast at your place, the people waiting for food clearly almost an hour, we thought they already had breakfast!!, we had a table of two, we wait over an hour for food that never came because you guys preferred to serve 2 outdoor tables who just came in, we didn't received any explanation or apologies, the lady on the front with a huge lack of consideration and service simply didn't care, there will be no next time at your place. Don't ruin your place!!!

We went to have a nice breakfast, but we ended waiting over an hour for them serving an outdoor table of 6 people when they just got in. Somebody should tell us they didn't had time for us, the lady in front of customer service so bad. Also a recommendation, the place looked dusty with spiderweb on the windows, it needs more tlc, definitely never go back again

We left Carmen’s fairly disappointed in our food, that we waited at least 45 minutes for. We ordered blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and the tortas with chorizo. The pancakes were good, everything else was disappointing at best. The eggs were rubbery, the bacon limp. The tortas were covered in a cold salsa, which made everything else unappetizing. The only standout was the service, both servers were friendly and responsive.

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

We ask customers to wear a mask here, but, of course, not while eating. We wash/sanitize regularly, and have a public sanitizer station. We have a virus-sized air filter running continuously. We limit seating and space out groups of patrons based on current NYS requirements.

So in other words this not a Cuban restaurant, judging by the menu don't see any or many Cuban dishes

We are a Cuban-American restaurant. We offer Spanish/ Cuban dishes like Huevos Flamenco, Cubano Sandwiches, Picadillo with Black Beans and Rice, Platanos and Empanadas. We also offer Pancakes and French Toast and a great selection of Omelettes. Our Latin customers rave about the food and say it reminds them of home. Our American customers just rave about the food. Give us a try and see what you think!
