My daughter and I have taken lessons at Chriswood for 5 years. We love the staff and our instructor. The owner is an incredibly talented horsewoman and impressive trainer. She is a true professional. The entire staff works incredibly hard every day and put there heart into everything they do. The horses are well cared for and have the best, most consistent training I have ever seen. This is a family friendly business that makes novices and experienced riders feel welcome. Our instructor is one in a million find. She has unparalleled experience competing in AQHA events with many successes. She brings real world competition experience to our lessons. The Chriswood team has a passion for horses and training that is contagious and inspires everyone around them.

I rode at Criswood for 2 1/2 years. If you are looking to ride once a week and nothing else for an hour then Criswood is for you. If you are looking to learn about the equine species and help care for horses (aswell as ride) then I do not recommend that you ride here. A few of the Instructors, are awfully imature and sometimes very rude. It is a very toxic environment with certain instructors. I took private lessons for about a year (I took group lessons for a year prior to switching lessons) and I began to just do the same things in each lesson every lesson. I didn't progress nor learn anything new. Their horses seem to go lame very often and some of their training methods are very questionable. If you are looking to learn the basics of riding in the english or western saddle, then this place is for you. If you want to continue to progress in your riding past the beginner level, then I do not recommend that you ride at this barn. There are plenty of more knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming lesson facilities and trainers in the area. I hope you find this helpful :)

I love that it is so close. For 2 years (since moved here) we have always yelled, "horses" as we pass by and my daughter counts as many horses as she can see. We just started lessons. Caroline is super sweet and great with our daughter. To go there is really special.

They give it away. Drive up, fill your containers, truck, whatever and drive away.

Can anybody arrive and ride.

You can show up and watch but can't ride unless you sign up with an instructor. They might let you do a try out lesson. Go with Sandy Herman. She's really great
