The staff is very nice and and always great you! The staff here shows they want to help you, a ecleptic feel from community members at the library. Always clean an friendly inside and handicap accessible doors like all library in DC. Get 20 free prints or 10 double-sided prints all free at DC Public Library! Awesome place to be!

Love the recreation center. There’s a lovely pool for all ages, library football/soccer field, a big playground, and basketball court. But what behaves me is that there trash everywhere on the field, playground, and basketball court. There’s no way shape or form that’s this place should look like this on a Saturday morning. For other kids or adults to play on. This recreation center should be clean before and after every game or function. Or at least have DPR clean every morning before an event.

Today I attended Late Night Hype there and it was VERY unpleasant. First off the pool had way too many unnecessary rules they gave me an issue about having my 4 children with me bc of a 3 child maximum per adult two of my children were 11 and 12 and my other two were 5 and 7 and they still made it difficult for me. Luckily my brother was there with his daughter so they allowed the kids in but then told him he couldn't come in bc he had on regular clothes. We made it clear he wasn't getting in the pool and was only there to monitor his child and they still refused him. They gave all these issues just to end up letting me in there with not only my 4 but my niece as well. Then on the outside festivities couldn't even be enjoyed because there were a bunch of teenage groups walking around looking for trouble to cause. On at least 4 separate occasions I almost left bc crowds of these teenagers seem to cause stampede like situations ranging from groups trying to jump ppl to just causing crowds of chaos. There was no regulation at all and frankly I felt I couldn't enjoy myself or my children bc I had to constantly keep lookout in case somebody decided they wanted to have a shoot out or something. It could've been a very enjoyable event if they actually had some type of security to regulate the unruly groups of teenagers. Overall I don't desire to visit this recreation center in the future.
