You wouldn't believe My deceitful Experience with Choice Hotels. My family and I lost a loved one to cancer and had a funeral to attend in South Carolina. Our room was booked thru Choice’s reception For $160. This is important because I have been a brand member a couple of years short of 10, so I knew I had accumulated points that could cover the stay. I called Choice to redeem the points. A male representative stated I did not have enough and pressured me to purchase $79 additional points to stay at the hotel. This is the point where The deception came about. After looking the room up to see how far we would be, I noticed the room rates were significantly higher through Choice reception as opposed to the hotel’s website, and based on my call to the hotel, the picture was clear. Both had a room rate of $111. I called Choice back to honor the lower rate, but I was told They could not predict nor knew the rates would be less than what they charge me, and the reservation was non-changeable nor refundable due to me paying in points. By this point, if you are still reading this. Choice knew how to secure a higher sell Without any reproach by selling me points. I tried reasoning with them on a call that lasted longer than your favorite movie. Ultimately I was placed on hold. After 4 minutes, the connection mysteriously ended. I called back and was told they had no record of me ever calling. I had to re-explain everything. This new phone call underwent 55 minutes, and I’m not sure if the representative was exhausted with my request to be refunded. She offered points to Compensate for the confusion. Here's evidence of more deceit. She first showed me 3 thousand points, then 6,000, but it got worst. She stressed, yelled my last name and said she could offer me 10 thousand points, and assured me that the new offer was equivalent to spending $1000, which was another deceitful underhanded tall tail. The is Choice was more interested in the closing of my case than finding a proper resolution for their part in a terrible stay at Comfort Suites hotel. Regarding the hotel stay, everything about the hotel needs to be renovated. The hotel is dated, has a strange mildew aroma, the ceiling is disrupted by mold, The beds are uncomfortable tough, and The TVs don’t work well with their continuance of blinking. The front desk personnel takes frequent smoke breaks, which makes it hard to file complaints to get anything done. The amenities for clothes, from what I can tell, seem not to have been kept up and tidy.

Nice large room. Very clean. Had breakfast for guests from 6-9 each morning. Not just doughnuts & coffee, but sausage eggs biscuits & gravy (waffles too) Has a nice gym & a large pool. I would be glad to stay here again. Rates were > $125. They do offer discounts AAA & AARP I know possibly more.

Positive: Nothing. It was a bad experience from start to finish. Negative: This hotel was bad. My room had a broken air conditioner- the cover was off- so they knew there was an issue. It was 82 degrees in the room. When I went to the front desk, the clerk was rude. She put us into another room. This one also had a broken air

Outdated. Rundown looking. Finally got tv to work. The floor /ceiling between 1st and 2nd must be made of paper. We heard people walking and stomping like a wrestling match all night. Tiny pillows, towels were rough feeling, bathroom just looked dirty. Prices were way to high for this dump! Do not stay here!!!!
