Archery Review This is an indoor range that focuses more on private & group lessons than being a public range. You may want to call to make sure the range is open to the public. Wednesday night is open but there's also a class so there may not be any lanes available as an example. There are 13 or 14 lanes - was around 20 before covid but reduced the lane count for more space during tournaments. 18m/20y is the distance and there's moveable carts to shoot closer. Pay at the counter - they will give you a paper target before going downstairs to the range. You can buy a range card for $60 or so that's good for 10 visits, was $33 but the park raise pricing recently - everything has gotten more expensive. There aren't any public ranges in the area that allow you to go shoot - this is it. No membership required or safety course to attend - just show up and shoot. Just make sure it's open before driving out.

ARCHERY REVIEW - great indoor facility with 20 yrd range. Safe and cool environment at a reasonable price, BUT!!! They open at noon, so if you get there in mornings and go down see it’s empty as typically is…you cannot use it until noon. I get sometimes they have a guy getting paid to teach people, but even that takes place later days. It’s a shame because lots of people don’t use it because they’d rather profit off some guy teaching than let the citizens of the county use the range in mornings. The worst part is that it’s open and empty on some of those days. I’m close by, but not considered Fairfax county resident so my complaints go unheard. What a waste to further the sport of archery for everyone. Beware of a guy that calls himself “Al” that works there (pictured), steer clear. Probably not his real name, guys like him typically lie about everything. In his mind he owns the place and isn’t very friendly. Good luck archers, I’ll not be going there again.

I was looking for a place near DC and picked Bull Run first. I absolutely made the right decision. This place is awesome. First, it’s very reasonably priced. Trap is 7 bucks, gun rental is 15 (and they are exceptional rental guns - Browning Citori), and boxes of shells are 10 bucks which is basically as cheap as you can find it anywhere right now. It’s very clean and has pretty much everything you would want to do including 15 stations. I only shot trap but it was a great experience and the staff was wonderful. I’ll definitely be back and won’t be looking for anywhere else to shoot in the DC area. This is one of the best places I’ve ever shot at.

Dear Lesley, Unfortunately we only have one trap field so not too conducive to holding a “trap” specific event. We offer the following for groups: For $75 per person: -Learn to Shoot class for those in need -1 to 5 instructors, depending on the numbers of shooters, that offer tips and pointers throughout the event and guide you around the sporting clays course -50 targets on our sporting clays field -gun rental -50 rounds of ammunition -eye protection -ear protection This package is offered Mondays through Fridays any time from 9 am until 6 pm excluding weekday holidays. On Saturdays and Sundays groups can only start at 9 am due to the public use and are limited to no more than 15 people. You do not need to bring your own shotgun. Bull Run Shooting center has Browning Citori over/under shotguns for rent. If you're going to shoot Wobble, Trap, or Skeet you should rent one, if you're going to do sport clays then yall can share shotguns.

Can you use a air rifle at firing range

Ernest Harris | Sep 26, 2017
Daniel Vela | Sep 26, 2017

No. Bull run is a shotgun range. You can shoot skeet, wobble trap, sporting clays, and they have an archery range.
