Years ago this used to be a nice park for children to play but not anymore my daughter took my grandbaby up there to go swimming and before she could enter the pool a young man with a backpack warned her he was going to shoot it up so she might want to leave with the baby later the young man was arrested which was great but still don't trust this place anymore not safe for children

This park was shady and the kids loved ❤️ they didn't get overheated playing
NORTH STAR
Fun park! Nice track and playground . Really nice pool and slide.

Great place to cool off in the summer. The shallow end is great for beginning swimmers, while the driving boards and water slide are great for older kids and adults. There are areas where you're welcome to bring in food, so you can easily spend all afternoon there.

Of course. They don't ask for any form of ID.
June 10th I believe.
Yes is open
No, but you can rent the pavilion, which includes admission to the pool during open swim.
There are signs posted that children 10 & under must have a parent present in the water with them.
I do believe that it is
It hasn't been in the past few years. Pretty darned cold for most of us over the age of 13. 🙂
I believe they open at 12 on Saturday until 730pm
I left Grand Rapids probably ten years ago, but if memory serves correctly yes, it should be open
Yes, but they must be coast guard approved
Yes only if it thunders or lightings. Or if its raining like super hard and nobody can see anything
It opens June 8, you can look at the GR parks and rec website for hours.
They open the week after school gets out. The pools open June 8th all of them Briggs park, Richmond park, and MLK Park.
