It's been a few weeks since I've finished neck decompression where I was told I had two decompressed vertabrae. After 30 Treatments, the tingling in my arm and neck is returning and my neck still hurts. I called the office and Dr. Johnston invited me back in for several more treatments to correct the situation. He wants to address the situation and have me feel better. It’s such a relief to have my strong husband back! Thank you Dr Johnston for your excellent and innovative care! When we got to you, my husband could not walk, stand up straight, ride his bike, play tennis, or dance! Even sleeping was a challenge! The only position that was comfortable for him was sitting, which is not conducive to the lifestyle we live! Let alone if I needed help moving things or lifting things. We went in with everything is possible and hopeful this would work, since other treatments he tried did not work for a long period of time. Thank you for the question. The cost of a Spinal Decompression program in our office greatly depends on what the recommended program consists of and what your insurance coverage is. First, a consultation is scheduled to determine if the patient is a candidate. The consultation involves discussing the patient’s health history, symptomatology, associated health conditions, and reviewing any past MRI’s, CT’s or X-ray’s. If there is no other imaging, then an xray is taken to determine what is causing the patient’s problem. The doctor can then recommend a specific treatment plan, including what type of treatment is necessary, how many treatments, and the frequency. The patient’s insurance company is then contacted to determine what the patient’s coverage is. We are then able to give the give the patient an accurate breakdown of their insurance coverage and any out of pocket costs. It is important to note that the total out of pocket cost for a spinal decompression program is usually considerably less than the deductibles and or co-insurance payments associated with surgery or spinal injections.
