Probably between 2 and 5 years, which is in my opinion too long a wait if you're going through a housing crisis. There's a national program Carroll County HUD could sign up for, where they'd get extra money to provide faster shelter. Write them about it. If I can find the program name, I'll add it to this comment. There isn't enough HUD apartments or homes in Carroll County, which is really a shame.
There is HUD subsidized housing in Carroll County, but there aren't enough units available. Waiting 2-5 years to get HUD is a bit ridiculous and not very helpful to community members who are in need.
Is there a waiting list for people relocating from a other state?
