I've used Union, Middlesex, and now Somerset count social services. With the people that work within Somerset County,, I have to say this has been the worst experience I've had. You don't get timely responses. When you call they seem irritated and don't want to talk. They ask for you to send documents and when you send them the VERY NEXT DAY to their EMAIL. They send a letter saying you refused to send in documents. It's like how it's always something. I may need help but this is not worth the stress.

No ,but you have to be unemployed or making next to nothing in a part time job. All you need is i.d. ,proof of residency,a bill with your name on it , and proof or a written letter stating that your not working. But it also has to be in the county you live in, to register
Yes , and you have to get a lot of paperwork done by your doctor to prove your illnesses and why you need Medicaid
No but you can go there... They are located on route 28 after the Verizon commucations in the new building 2nd floor on left
