well my advice is that anyone who is thinking of going to that shelter I will tell you this: the rooms are small but that's nothing the hard thing is that there are stupid rules like the fact that you can't eat in your room you can't cook because they give 3 meal times you cannot bring a lot of clothes or things for your baby everything is controlled at the exit you have to sign and leave your key and when you enter again sign to be able to go up to the room you do not have a private bathroom everything is shared and not to mention from the bad temper of the administration of that place please that is not a good place for you and your baby.

I was there in 2006. I had my son living here and the staff was ok. Well, the ones I dealt with. You don't have to share a room but you have to share bathrooms and a shower area. They cook 3 meals a day. The shelter is what you make it. Take care of your business so you can get yourself a place. They will help if you help yourself.

No
You can't just get a referral either you go to Path & let them place you a shelter that's available orif you have no children. Go to an all womens shelter that Has walk INS 1122 Franklin Ave (166Th St)
No but you have to share bathroom with other women and thier kid's
They do many girls have moved out since ive been here (almost 4 months) From my understanding you do have to be working as well and submitting your paystubs to the housing specialist everytime you meet.
The women get served by a server. The staff is very friendly and loving.
